DARAL 'ILM SCHOOL SYRIA

Education often slips down the list of priorities for refugees who are faced with other critical needs like basic shelter and clean water. We built a new school in 2023 to ensure quality education. Many of these children come from low income homes and are unable to pay monthly school fees.

BRAILLE LITERACY

This is a project adopted by COH Youth. Sponsor 1 of 30 blind children to read and write, and recite the Holy Quran, using the Braille method. Children receive a range of science and supporting skills, in order to help them overcome some of the challenges generated by vision loss.

This school established in 1918 is situated in Newcastle, KZN. Shortage of classrooms and stationery as well as the use of unsanitary pit toilets by both learners and teachers unfortunately are part of the daily challenges at the school.

263 million children are out of school, while less than half of all students in developing countries meet minimum proficiency standards of numeracy and literacy. While we cannot address every single need, we can do something for at least one person. In conflict environments where children have seen their friends and families die, and schools and homes turned to rubble, they have lost years of development. We are dedicated to supporting our future rising stars. In South Africa, we support Jobstown Combined Primary School in Newcastle, Amajuba Municipality District, KwaZulu-Natal, assisting them in various efforts.The smartest investment you will ever make is invest in young people, to ensure they’re equipped to take on the jobs of the future.
