Colours of Hope started out as nothing more than a helping hand of Madrasah Ummul Hasanaat to people in need of Quraans.

Who We Are

Twin sisters Sa’uda and Kaashifa Ismail grew up with a shared passion for making a positive impact in their community. This drive led them to engage in charity work from a young age, initially focusing on distributing Qurans to in areas like Bihar and Kerala in 2010 through their local "maktab madrasahs" (Primary Islamic education centres). Their dedication to serving others deepened over the years, and in 2016, they formalised their commitment by establishing a registered charitable organisation called “Colours of Hope." Inspired by their belief in compassion, generosity, self-sacrifice and prayer, and having been raised hearing the words of the Quranic verse “…if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind”, they embarked on a mission to uplift humanity through compassionate action.

When conflict and adversity struck in the Syria in 2013, they felt compelled to do even more. Thus, they initiated a humanitarian drive to address the needs of children unable to attend school due to the war. Three years later, Colours of Hope (COH) became a registered non-profit humanitarian aid organisation, ready to match their empathy with effort.

Today COH is a team of dedicated individuals echoing it’s motto of “Hard Work, Clean Intention, Prayer and Unity”.
